The 2015 Volvo Cross Country is based on the automaker's V60 wagon. Powered by the same 2.5L 5-cylinder turbo engine and 6-speed automatic transmission, the Cross Country adds over two more inches of ground clearance and exterior cladding. The V60 Cross Country is only available with all-wheel drive. The extra ground clearance and full-time all-wheel drive mean the V60 Cross Country is aimed at the outdoors enthusiast who might need to traverse a muddy logging road once in a while.
Starting at $38,540, the base V60 Cross Country offers a high-end feature set and luxury appointments that include 18-inch alloy wheels, a power sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, rear fog lamps, sport leather seats, remote keyless entry and dual-zone climate control. The base's audio system includes Volvo's "Sensus Connect," an in-car connectivity and infotainment system that can integrate with a smartphone app as well as provide in-car Wi-Fi and navigation.
Options are substantial. The Climate Package adds a heated steering wheel, heated front seats and heated windshield washers. The Convenience Package adds a rear camera, keyless drive and a Homelink universal garage door opener.
