The Solterra is offered in three trims Premium, Limited and Touring all powered by two electric motors that produce 107 horsepower each for a total horsepower of 214. The range on the the Limited and Touring is 222 miles while the Premium gets 228 miles. Of course, all Solterra's have standard all-wheel drive, which is a Subaru staple.
Perhaps the most impressive collection of standard equipment on the Subaru Solterra begins with its Base model offerings: All-wheel drive, hill-descent control, 18-inch alloy wheels, full LED headlights, heated side mirrors, heated front seats, leather steering wheel, automatic climate control, an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and EyeSight safety suite.
The Limited features a 12.3-inch touchscreen, voice activated navigation, a power liftgate, roof rails, turn signal indicators in the mirrors, LED fog lights, 20-inch wheels, heated rear seats, an 11-speaker sound system, a garage door opener, and wireless device charging.
At the top of the lineup the Touring trim adds ventilated front seats, a fixed glass sunroof, a video-feed rear view mirror, ventilated front seats, ambient interior lighting, a roll-up cargo cover, and a proximity key.
Safety features are abundant on the Solterra including 8 airbags, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, active lane departure, blind spot warning, forward collision mitigation with left turn assist, rear collision mitigation, front pedestrian detection, an active driver monitor, and traffic sign information system.
The Solterra was introduced in 2023 and carries over into 2024 with minimal changes.
The Solterra is quite affordable, particularly considering the space on offer; the Solterra is not a small vehicle. Most of the safety features come standard on the base model as well, so the entry point for the line-up offers a lot of value for the money. Subaru offers a ton of options and luxury features on the Solterra, so for those who want a more upscale experience, there are versions of the vehicle that can provide such a thing.
